Crimson Ruby Japanese Barberry is a dense, small shrub displaying outstanding burgundy red foliage throughout the warm seasons, providing rich landscape color to low hedges, foundation plantings and formal gardens. The Crimson Ruby barberry provides stunning contrast when used with brightly colored yellow variegated foliage such as Euonymus Emerald 'n Gold. This barberry variety grows to about 2 feet tall or clip to shape. The leaves color up best in full sun, going dormant in the winter. Use this plant freely in colder locations, as it is hardy to USDA zone 4 and all higher zones. Shipped potted in soil to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden.
