Crimson Pygmy dwarf barberry will give you some very cool colors....a deep rich burgundy color especially vibrant in the spring time, one that if strategically used can offer some pretty head turning color combinations. Color is best in brighter sunlight. Besides being pretty to look at, this dwarf barberry is also really tough, hardy to USDA zone 4 and higher, also taking a fair amount of heat and sun if kept consistently watered. The Crimson Pygmy grows to only 2 feet tall by 3 feet wide or so, so a shrub that can easily be considered in narrow planter beds or planted at the 'feet' of larger green leafed shrubs for contrast. Deciduous. An added benefit.... deer resistant. Shipped planted in its original soil and container for best results when planted in yard or garden.
