Sundown Big Sky Series Coneflower produces large fragrant blossoms in profuse waves throughout the summer. The blossoms on this hardy Echinacea have reddish orange petals surround by a brown central cone. The thick flower stems provide sturdy structure for seed bearing cones that stand up very well under snow. Coneflowers make excellent fresh cut flowers, and are easy, adaptable and reliable. Consider any echinacea for beds, borders or containers. This herbaceous perennial is a natural in the wild and native garden or prairie meadow, enjoying full sun. Fast growing foliage clumps 20 to 30 in. tall and wide, flower stems 32 to 40 in. tall. Hardy to USDA zone 4 and all higher zones.
