The Chinese lilac is a medium sized, deciduous shrub with wonderfully fragrant lilac purple flowers in the spring. Its graceful arching branches are broadly spreading. The Chinese lilac is more refined than the common lilac, and can be clipped to a more dense, rounded form. Use this Syringa variety for screens, hedges, spring accents and cut flowers. Plant your lilac in full sun. Moderate grower to about 8 to 10 feet tall or clip to shape. Hardy to USDA zone 3 and all higher zones. Shipped as a potted specimen to ensure the best possible start when planted in yard or garden.
