The Charles Joly Lilac plant will treat you to gorgeous double, deep wine red flower clusters that are very fragrant. Lilacs are lovely spring time accents, also used for screens or border specimens. Charles Joly lilac is deciduous and very cold hardy, enduring down to USDA zone 3 and all higher zones. The Charles Joly has an upright, open-branched habit and bright green foliage. Full sun. Moderate-growing to 8 to 10 feet high, 6 feet wide or clip to shape. Use this lilac variety at corners where it will be easy to reach for a flowering branch to bring indoors. Excellent for containers. All lilacs make excellent cut flowers. Shipped potted in soil to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden.
