The Chandler Pummelo is a grapefruit hybrid with large rounded fruit with pink flesh that is sweet in taste. The Chandler has no seeds when grown in isolation. To eat a pummelo, first peel the fruit, separate the segments and remove the membrane around the segment. Use the fresh fruit as any grapefruit, eating fresh or segmented in fruit salads. The chandler is a medium to large sized tree with open and spreading habit. Leaves are large and the tree is evergreen. Clip to shape. The Chandler pummelo ripens November to June. Citrus trees of all types make good landscape specimens, offering clean glossy foliage and good color contrast with colorful ripening fruit against the green foliage. Grow in containers if space is limited or there exists a need to move the tree indoors over the winter. All of our trees are shipped potted in their original soil and container to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden.
