Celeste fig, also known as Celestial fig has fruit that is firm, juicy, and sweetest of all. The fresh figs you will harvest from your own backyard are of excellent quality. The fruit is small to medium sized with violet to purplish brown colored skin. The Celeste fig does well in humid locations, taking hot sun, and even enduring cold temperatures, having proven to survive lows of 11°s in Texas. This fig variety is a regional favorite in Mississippi and Louisiana. The Celestial also does well in moderate coastal climates. All of our fig trees are shipped potted in soil to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden. Tree ships about 4 feet tall.
