The Atlas Cedar 'Aurea Robusta' is a cultivar noted for its slightly golden tips. This variety of Blue Atlas cedar prefers to be planted in full sun in deep moist soil, but does tolerate dry sandy soil if irrigation is consistent. Protect from constant winds if possible. Growth is slow to about 35 feet, eventually taking on a pyramidal shape. Try the 'aurea robusta' blue atlas cedar as a container plant with interesting form, as a focal point in small scale rock gardens, or even as a bonsai. Let your imagination go wild.
