Catawba Grape Vine, Five Gallon Container by Monrovia Growers
Catawba grape vine is a cold tolerant variety hardy to USDA zone 4, so yes you will be wearing a coat when you clip up your fruit bearing vine and bed it down for the winter. This grape is medium sized, round, purplish red with distinctive flavor that is rich and sweet. The grapes ripen late season after Concord. Catawba is the 'go to variety' if space is at a premium, as the fruit from this vine can be used for wine, fresh eating or juice, with bold textured deep green foliage that turns bright yellow in the autumn giving visual interest in the winter after leaf drop. Grape vines are a good choice for covering arbors, trellises or gateways. The Catawba is fast growing to 20 feet each year. We ship all of our grapes potted in soil to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden.
