Blenheim apricot trees are such durable trees in the landscape, growing so fast they make pretty decent shade trees. Blennheim produces medium to large fruit, yellow with orange cheek. Firm, juicy, pale orange flesh. Delicious flavor. Also good for canning and drying. Blenheim apricots are self fertile, ripening late June to Early July. Enjoy the fruit for fresh eating, cooking, canning, drying, freezing, juice and jams & jellies. 4-500 chill hours. Shipped in soil to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden. Tree about 4 feet tall, new planting. Inset photo used courtesy of Marie Harrison Novicki.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I be doing to prepare my fruit trees for winter?
Follow appropriate guidelines for winter time pruning for your particular fruit tree for your particular area. Some trees make fruit on two year wood thus needing a different approach to pruning then those which fruit on spring wood such as peaches or nectarines. If you are un-sure, contact your local nursery professional or feel free to call or email us. Click on "Contact Us" for phone and email address.

Any products I should be applying to help them maintain good health?
Apply a dormant spray appropriate for your area. This usually involves an insecticide such as Volck or Safe-t-Side Oil that smothers any over wintering critters. www.montereylawngarden.com has many of these products and it looks like they ship directly to consumers. It has been a company I've been familiar with for a long time.

Anything else?
Yes. Rake up any fallen leaves and pick up any moldy fruit that may have fallen to the ground, as many of next years issues over winter here. A good clean environment around the tree in the winter will prevent many headaches next spring.
