Salvia guaranitica, also known as Black and Blue Sage will mesmerize you with its deep, cobalt blue flowers summer into fall. This sage is tough, tolerating alkaline soils and full sun. The black and blue sage is fast growing to 3 feet high and wide or clip to shape, and is hardy to USDA zone 7 and all higher zones. A salvia that will attract hummingbirds as they visit the tall purple flower spikes each summer. Irrigate consistently, especially in extreme summer areas. Use this sage variety in containers to brighten sunny deck or patio. Shipped potted in soil to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden.
