Austin pomegranate would be the one you'd try if you want to earn the blue ribbon at the county fair. Though one you may not have heard much about, it will satisfy on many levels. The juice from the Austin is mostly sweet with just a touch of tart, giving you a more full bodied flavor that will definitely satisfy any discriminating palette. Still want more? Juice from the Austin is plentiful too, often times 1.5 times as much as Wonderful. Besides the amazing fruit, the tree grows pretty vigorously too hitting the 12 to 15 feet mark both in height and in width, so a decent consideration if you need a small screen or hedge.
