August Beauty Gardenia, Grafted Five Gallon Plant
August Beauty Gardenia is a prolific bloomer offering large, sweetly fragrant, velvety white flowers. This gardenia, as do all gardenia plants has shiny green foliage as an additional benefit. Form is rounded to about 5 feet tall and 3 feet wide, or clip to any desired size or shape. Use the August Beauty as a low hedge, screen, or as an enjoyable accent plant for entryways. The August Beauty enjoys full to partial sun, and will appreciate soil that is consistently moist but not soggy. Provide well drained soil rich in organic matter. If using in containers, use a high quality potting soil right out of the bag. This gardenia variety can be clipped tight, so consider in enclosed spaces, small planter beds or enclosed patios where its perfume like fragrance can be captured and enjoyed. Hardy to USDA zone 8 and all higher zones. Shipped potted in soil to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden.
