Enjoy the Atlas Flowering Magnolia with its huge blooms that can reach 15" across. Rounded habit to 18' wide. Flowers well when young. Leaves are large, to 12" long and 8" wide on vigorous round plants, boat shaped, similar to M. soulangiana. Best with some shade in hot areas. Yellow fall color. Prefers full to part sun, with rich moist shaded soil and some sort of organic matter over the roots. Makes excellent lawn or accent tree. Blooms early spring, so always excited to see when the show of color begins. Shipped as a potted five gallon tree in its original soil and container.
