The Arbequina olive has such rich qualities, making it the superior oil most gourmets search for. It is best used on crisp green salads, chilled vegetables such as cucumbers and tomatoes or even potato salad. Can be used for light frying and simmering. Arebequina olives lend themselves well to container use, as growth rate is a little slower than many other varieties, and the tree stays a little more compact. Evergreen. Hardy to about 15°'s. Likes full sun and can tolerate much heat during the summer. If indoors, does benefit from mistings to improve indoor humidity. Shipped as a potted five gallon tree in its original soil and container.
