Ambrosia Pomegranate Tree, Five Gallon Container
Ambrosia pomegranate will take your journey in a slightly different direction. Fruit is nicely sized with pale pink skin. Due to the dark pink coloring of its arils, the juice takes on a nice purple color, with flavor described as sweet/tart. The Ambrosia does do well in the heat of summer, yet can be happy in coastal climates as well. The tree is self fertile so if space is limited no worries here. Your crop of fresh, home grown Ambrosia pomegranates will start their journey indoors to your kitchen beginning September into October. Growth on this tree can reach 15 to 18 feet tall and 15 to 20 feet wide, but can easily be clipped to shape. Not picky as to soil, but decent drainage would be good. Hardy to USDA zone 8b to 9, and is shipped potted in soil for best possible results when planted in yard or garden.
