This is one plant that can add some very definite character to the yard. Bamboos can be used in combination with palms, hibiscus, and other tropicals around swimming pools, either in the ground or in large containers. For Oriental garden themes, bamboos are invaluable. This particular bamboo variety is also great for hedges or tall screens with growth to 15-30'. As a hedge it can be maintained at 8-10' with some shearing. It has attractive stems with brilliantly striped green markings. Another benefit -- it's non invasive. Plant bamboos in full to partial sun; hardy to 15 degrees. Shipped as a potted five gallon plant in its original soil and container.
