Azalea "Alaska" One Gallon Container
The Alaska Azalea is an outstanding bloomer of snowy white blooms with a distinctive blotch on its petals. It's an exceptional white azalea, quite effective when used against red brick or dark green foliage plants. Monrovia growers suggests using the Alaska under the edges of large canopy shade trees or against the trunks of tree groves. This evergreen spring bloomer is a natural in Asian inspired gardens, particularly for the Japanese tea style. Azalea "Alaska" is moderate growing to 3 to 5 feet tall or clip to shape. It has a rounded growth habit, and is considered a midseason to late bloomer. As do all azaleas, it prefers some shade in the hot afternoons and soil that is loose, rich and well draining. Remember azaleas for pots on shady entryways. Shipped potted in soil to ensure a healthier start when planted in yard or garden. Hardy to USDA zone 8 and all higher zones.
