Ajuga reptans 'Catlin's Giant' is a shade loving ground cover especially pretty in late spring into mid summer when the flowers begin to emerge. Ajuga may look timid, but it is one tough cookie, hardy to USDA zone 3 and higher. Just don't keep the soil flooded or saturated and you're good. Catlin's Giant is moderate growing 3 to 6 inches tall by about 1 to 2 feet wide. Butterflies? You may see some hanging around. Sometimes called ‘Carpet Bugle’, your new ground cover will arrive potted in soil for the best possible start when planted in yard or garden.
